rtf parser to html?
Hi,
In one of my applications I am presenting journal article titles that have been written by our researchers. The oracle database that stores them utilises some kind of rtf format when a 'special character' is involved such as subscript, or say a greek letter such as alpha.
2 examples below:
{\rtf1\ansi\deff0{\fonttbl{\f0\fswiss\fcharset0 Arial;}{\f1\fnil\fcharset0 Arial;}{\f2\fswiss Arial;}}
\viewkind4\uc1\pard\lang1033\f0\fs18 A highly enantioselective synthesis of cyclic \f1\fs26\u945?\f0\fs18 -amino acids involving a one-pot, single catalyst, tandem hydrogenation-hydroformylation sequence\f2
\par }
{\rtf1\ansi\deff0\deftab720{\fonttbl{\f0\fswiss MS Sans Serif;}{\f1\froman\fcharset2 Symbol;}{\f2\fswiss Arial;}{\f3\fswiss Arial;}{\f4\froman\fcharset2 Symbol;}}
{\colortbl\red0\green0\blue0;}
\deflang1033\pard\plain\f2\fs18 Crystal structures of (\plain\f2\fs18\i R,R\plain\f2\fs18 )-\{[Ph(Me)CH]\plain\f2\fs14\dn5 2\plain\f2\fs18 NLi.pmdeta\} and \{[PhC(=CH\plain\f2\fs14\dn5 2\plain\f2\fs18 )NH]Na.pmdeta\}\plain\f2\fs14\dn5 2\plain\f2\fs18 : alkali metal amides derived from (\plain\f2\fs18\i R,R\plain\f2\fs18 )-bis(\plain\f4\fs24 a\plain\f2\fs18 -methylbenzyl(amine)
\par }
Does anyone know of a way this can be parsed into html on my application?
I assume the difficulty is that the character sets used may be windows based?
Or perhaps there is a different forum that I need to post this question to? (i've looked at xml publisher, xmldb etc).
cheers...
..david.
