Hi experts,
I have been trying to do a installation of oracel database 11.2.0.4 but it througs a error.
[Sat Oct 5 19:21:39 IST 2013]: ... Running root.sh - Please Respond to the Onscreen Questions if required
[Sat Oct 5 19:21:40 IST 2013]: ....failed
when check in log file it says follwoing
/appl/oracle/product/11.2.0/db_1/rdbms/install/rootadd_rdbms.sh
/appl/oracle/product/11.2.0/db_1/rdbms/install/rootadd_filemap.sh
This installation has been done by calling a shell script which does all the work.
The same script/installatin does not through error when installaing 11.2.0.3 what can be the issues please help on the same i have googles and also checkd the forum but did not got any hints only one link which i got in the forum is unsawred with the same issue. Below is the link.
/etc/oratab (a file or directory in the path name does not exists)
