Rolling past 12 Months in SQL

Hi Forum

I've got a month field with values such as 'Jan-10', 'Jul-10' etc.

I only want to chart the last 12 months of data, & I've tried using "MAX' on the month field but it selects September as it's the highest in the Alphabet.

I need it to select the latest month in chronoligical order & also chart the previous 12 months from there.

Any suggests?
