Roll forward standby database with incremental backup when a datafile is dropped in primary

Hello,

I am performing nologging operations + dropping some files in primary and want to roll forward the standby using incremental scn backup.

is there anything I need to do specifically, as the files are being dropped?

I have come across ( Doc ID 1531031.1 ) which explains how to roll forward when a datafile is added.

If I follow the same steps, skipping the step to restore the newly added datafile, will it work in my case?

Can somebody please clarify?
