RMI vs. Windows 2000 SP3
843793Oct 10 2002 — edited Oct 14 2002I was using some RMI applications on a Windows 2000 Pro SP2 and I had no problems with it, but after upgrading the OS to SP3, the proccess of registering and connecting RMI objects has significantly slowed.
After uninstalling the SP3, the applications run well again, so I think it's a problem of this service pack. The problem seems to be related to networking protocols but I have no idea how to solve it. I was using JDK 1.4.0, so I upgraded to 1.4.1 but the problem was still there.
Are there any other people having the same problem? I would like to know, and if there is a solution. I hope it is not another M$ trick to undermine the Java platform.
