"RMI classloader disabled"

843793Sep 19 2007 — edited Sep 20 2007
I have a client and server. I can connect the client to the server w/ no problems and invoke methods on the server. However, when I

serverobject.addListener(clientobject) ;

on the client side, I get the following exception (below, clientObject = GraphModel). I've run rmic on the client classes that the server uses as callback, ie: GraphModel_Stub.class exists.. All callback object inherit UnicastRemoteObject. In a nutshell, it would appear RMI references are working only one way. Sending remote objects on the server to client = okay. Sending remote object from client to server = problem.

From what I've seen on the web it may be that Eclipse imposes some default security manager (don't know why my server can send remoteobjects but my client can't). I just need to get RMI working for my lab, so security is a non issue. Since I don't have time to learn about the details of Java security, are there any examples on the web about a minimal/liberal secutiry manager that would eliminate my RMI problem - so I can move ahead w/ my project ASAP???

Thanks,

Monty
