Hi Guys...

I have Oracle9i Enterprise Edition Release 9.2.0.1.0 - 64bit Production running on Solaris.

I am busy with the rman restore to a different server.

I have restored my controlfile and I have mounted the database now I want to CATALOG my backups as I have copied them from a different server to a different location on another server.

When I do this

CATALOG START WITH '/db01/PROD/backups/' NOPROMPT;

I get the following errors:

RMAN-00571: ===========================================================
RMAN-00569: =============== ERROR MESSAGE STACK FOLLOWS ===============
RMAN-00571: ===========================================================
RMAN-00558: error encountered while parsing input commands
RMAN-01005: syntax error: found "identifier": expecting one of: "archivelog, backup, controlfilecopy, clone, datafilecopy"
RMAN-01008: the bad identifier was: START
RMAN-01007: at line 1 column 9 file: standard input

Please help !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks
