RMAN Networker expired issue

user452614Jul 8 2009 — edited Jul 10 2009
I'm backing up a 10g database to tape with RMAN to Networker 7.3. I want to handle all the backup maintenance (deleting old backups) from within RMAN. So I setup a policy in Networking called RMANP and set the time period to 50 years and assigned this policy to my rman tape pool. This way Networker will never expire any of my backups, this will be handled by RMAN. Within RMAN I have a recovery window set to 60 days. For some reason whenever issue a CROSSCHECK BACKUP any backups older than a month show up with a status of EXPIRED in rman. I can open the Networker console and go to the tape and find the backupset. Why does RMAN think they are expired?? We hare running on x86_64 RedHat Enterprise Linux release 4.
