RMAN L1 Recover over RMAN L0

User_QE4IFJun 15 2016 — edited Jun 15 2016

Dear Guru's

Environment:-

OS:- RHEL 5

DB Version:- 11.2.0.3

As i already perform this task few days back. The scenario L0 RMAN backup taken from source machine and restore to destination machine with different directory structure and after restoring the L0 backup didn't open the DB with resetlogs. After 24 hrs L1 incremental differential RMAN backup is taken from source machine restore and recover the L0 + L1 RMAN backup on destination machine and after that open the db with alter database resetlog option. Then DB is working fine. Now again i need to perform the same task but i am still worry whether L1 is completely recovered or not as i already restore L0 RMAN backup. L1 incremental currently i didn't take. In my view i need to catalog the location of L1 RMAN backup along with L0 RMAN backup and crosscheck the backup after that initiate the restore and recovery script and also i need to capture all the archive log's 24 hrs back and also crosscheck the archivelogs on the destination using RMAN utility.

So anyone of you who actually worked over the same scenario can help me to confirm or guide me what things i ensure before and after taking L1 rman backup.
