RMAN incremental backup and export and the same time

Hi,
I'm trying to troubleshoot why my incremental backup hang for about an hour longer than it usually takes. I would like to know if this mightbe the cause.
The export job runs hourly and the incremental backup job runs daily. It's 9i rel2 on RH EL4.0. Thanks.
