RMAN delete obsolete on Archived logs

Dear All,

we running under archivelog mode and take the backup plus archivelog. Now when we run either the report obsolete or delete obsolete: is the archived logs that have been backed up showed up as obsolete.

What will be a good strategy to devise to get rid of the obsolete archivelogs. Any script, suggests, advise will be highly appreciated.
