RMAN Database Clone with set until time
Dear Experts,
I am wondering if anyone can offer me some advice in regards to rman database clone with "set until time".
Here is the background info.
We are always asked to clone database from Production to Development. We then use the backup we took the night before and start the clone process. In the RMAN clone script, we use something like this:
...
SET UNTIL TIME "to_date('02/01/09 22:34:55','mm/dd/yy hh24:mi:ss')";
DUPLICATE TARGET DATABASE TO XYZ
...
The process failed with "RMAN-06053: unable to perform media recovery because of missing log". My question is" Is there a better way in terms of determing the value for "set until time" based on the backup we take? Here is an example of the backup we took with the timestamp:
