RMAN backup to remote drive (NFS)

511057Mar 13 2007 — edited Mar 14 2007
my NFS server is RHEL 3 and the client is AIX 5.3L, both equipped with Ora 10g R2. I created a NFS on AIX to the drive on RH by
mknfsmnt -f /remote/backup -d /dbrecovery/remote_backup -h RH_host -t rw.
df command showed the NFS is mounted.
and also put the /remote/backup in the RMAN configuration (of AIX)
as
CONFIGURE CONTROLFILE AUTOBACKUP FORMAT FOR DEVICE TYPE DISK TO ā€˜/remote/backup/%F’;
CONFIGURE CHANNEL DEVICE TYPE DISK FORMAT ā€˜/remote/backup/%U’;
But when I run the RMAN backup from AIX, it produced this error:
ORA-27054: NFS file system where the file is created or resides is not mounted with correct options
ORA-19504: failed to create file "/remote/backup/98icgrdc_1_1"
What else option I need to put on the NFS directory and on which side to configure?
I could manually create a file and directory over the NFS, and the driectoy is rwx totally to all.
