RMAN backup taking long time few days

My full rman backup oin database is takes normally 7 hours for 500 Gb of database.I am running by 3 chl.but some times it takes 19 hrs,14 hrs,13 and inconsistent so i am very confused.
I see sbtwrite in top wait event also RMAN RECOVERY I/O.how to troubleshoot in this.
