Hi Guys,

just a test scenario.

For eg, i have a daily rman full backup at 8pm yesterday. the database is in archiveloj.. however we did not backup any archivelogs.

this morning at 10am, all the database files, controlfile, redologs, archivelogs are deleted from the system accidentally.


can the database still be restore?

1. create the controlfile from trace
2. restore database
3. recover database until cancel (this will prompt will the next log that is not avaliable)
4. alter database open resetlogs

will the open resetlogs work without even one archive log available to apply to the rman backup?
