rman backup from Linux server to shared drivers on windows 2008 .

Hello everyone,

I want to know is it possible to take rman backup to shared drive windows 2008 for a database runnig in Linux.

I have tried it and getting rman-03002 followed by ORA-19504, Ora-27040 and linux-x86_64 error.

I have used the following coomand to mount my windows share
mount -t cifs -o username=administrator,password='XXXXXX' //172.16.1.50/files /mnt
