I am not sure if that makes sense, but, can RMAN backup somehow integrate with storage snapshots? I am not saying to back up DB by using storage snapshots, I am saying if it is possible to use RMAN back DB up, and then snapshots the backups. The purpose of this is to save disk space.
Does that make sense to you?
