Java EE (Java Enterprise Edition) General Discussion

I want to use rich faces library in a jsf project.I am using NetBeans 6.I am following the instructions given but I must be doing something wrong because the projects doesn't run.Do rich faces work in NetBeans?And if they do,do I have to have a Visual Web application or a simple Web application?I'm a little confused because I don't have time to read about it carefully,so if anyone knows approximately how it works,or have any links to help me, I would really appreciate it.I want to use rich faces because I want to create a panel menu.By the way,if you have any other idea on how to create a panel menu in NetBeans please let me know!
