Retrival of Data is too slow in Htree

Hi guys!
I buid a tree item in form 6i which retrive the name of the movies from the database. It works fine but when i run the form it took too much time to retreive the data in the tree item. Can some one tell me how to increse the efficiency that it could display the data at once. There are 1500 record (movies name) in the data base.And one more thing waht is the maximum limit of the records in the tree item.
