Hello. I have a database with a column holding BLOBs. My query is written so that I only have the BLOBs that are .doc file types. I need to retrieve hundreds of these and save to a folder on my computer. I will be doing some text classification on these word documents. I tried getting the docs via python and other sources. Every attempt yields output that looks like this:

I'm not a DBA. I know how to write sql queries to pull data from a database but have no experience with stored procedures. SQL Developer has the ability to export a given column. I tried that and was able to export a couple hundred .doc file BLOBs as .dat files. When I opened these in word, I again got unreadable stuff like above. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
