Retrieve Count from table

Hi friends,

I need to extract count (number of records) from the set of table which starts with the high level qualifier - DDSX-IN-XXX-XXXX.

Also in one of the table DDSX-IN-SALES-CNT i need to count the record with respect to each store under each category and store the results in a table.

Let me know your thoughts to proceed further with this requirement.
