Result Set Type is not supported accessing Remedy ODBC

I am trying to use the JDBC/ODBC bridge to access our Remedy AR System. Remedy provides a proprietary ODBC driver. I am able to connect, but I get the error "Result Set Type is not supported" when I try to retrieve data. Has anybody solved this long standing issue?
