restricting JFileChooser functionality.

Greetings,

Everyone slightly familiar with the JFileChooser object probably has
noticed those four buttons in the top/right corner as well as those
fancy, big, vertically aligned buttons on the left side.

A customer of mine doesn't want all these buttons there because they're
just too 'powerful'. My customer doesn't want navigation through the
file system(s), nor the creation of new directories.

Does anyone know how I can get rid of those buttons? I can take care
of directory selection by using a simple FileFilter. I can forbid the
'updir' functionality by using a FileSystemView of my own; the same
object can forbid the creation of new directories too, but how do I get rid
of those buttons?

kind regards,

Jos
