Oracle Database Discussions

Hi

Is there any way of restricting usre ID's from accessing an Oracle database through certian applications while allowing the same user ID access to the database through other applications?

The problem is that I have an application which uses functional ID 'lmtdev' to access the database. If possible I would like to restrict this functional ID from accessing the database through applications such as SQLTools and TOAD so support users(who know the password) can not access the database through this user ID.

I hope that has been explained clearly. If not please ask and I'll try to clarify.
