Restoring RMAN backup piece from Oracle 9i to 11g

Dear Experts,
I have a situation here. I have rman backup pieces taken from oracle 9i in solaris OS. and I have to restore it on oracle 11g in win 2008 server.
Is it possible? if yes please refer me some doc.
