Restore APEX from db backup - no exported application to recover from
Gib2008Sep 8 2009 — edited Sep 8 2009Hi all,
Last week we had some pages accidently deleted and our flashback window expired by the time it was realized that the pages were missing. There is no export to act as a backup but I do have a full backup to before it happened. I restored the database to an auxilliary instance and used datapump to export/import the APEX schemas yet the pages are still missing. I still have the aux instance so I wanted to look at the schemas.tables that contain the data that generate/make the pages in the application. Does anyone know the structure of APEX well enough to provide a query to find all the tables for the application owners missing pages? The schema we exported and imported from the aux db were: APEX_030200, FLOWS_FILES, APEX_DEV, PAYORPROFILE & PAYORPROFILE_QA. The last 2 are the application users schemas. Are their any I missed? I left out APEX_PUBLIC_USER since that does not contain any tables.
What really odd now is I did a schema compare in toad on each of these 3 schemas between the aux db and the real db: APEX_030200, FLOWS_FILES, APEX_DEV....and there's no difference!?? Where is APEX storing the application pages?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Gib
