Hi,
I disabled the proxy from Tools>>Preferences
Next went to Topology>>Physical Architecture>>Restful Service>>New Data Server
Next I assigned the Restful Service Endpoint Url as http://some.page.com/ and clickedTest Connection
The test fails with error below.

SEVERE: Error occurred testing connection to dataserver with agent Internal
ODI-1592: Error occurred testing connection to dataserver with agent Internal
Caused By: oracle.odi.core.exception.OdiRuntimeException: javax.ws.rs.ProcessingException: java.net.ConnectException: Connection timed out: connect
Whilst the client machine which hosts ODI studio, can access the endpoint, on the other hand the server where ODI and its repository are installed does not have network access to the web.
Do you think that the connectivity test is initiated on the server where ODI is installed and not from the ODI studio client?
