Response time reduction

Currently, when we make a Request from R4 Document Response API with below Query parameters:

Encounter

Period Start Date

Period End Date

Patient Id

_Count

We get the response back in somewhere between 2s to 8s. Is there a way to optimize this query or reduce the Response time.
