Reset wallet master key

Hi,

I have created a wallet in my 10.2.0.5.0 database version.

I am now trying to change the encrytion key or the master key by using the statement

ALTER SYSTEM SET ENCRYPTION KEY IDENTIFIED BY "PWD";

This PWD is different from the current encryption key.

But when i issue the statement the wallet which is open currently is closed automatically thus not allowing me to reset or change the encryption key.

Please suggest and let me know if any additional information is required.
