Required Help regarding SMTP_OUT_SERVER

I already setup SMTP_OUT_SERVER for UTL_MAIL and test server its working fine, but next day when i use command "show parameter SMTP_OUT_SERVER" , it shows blank, no parameter set. How to fix it permanently so if the applications bounce, the data will always be there.
