Request to Reschedule Exam After No Show Due to Technical Issues

Farkhat SagatJan 14 2026

Dear Oracle Certification Support Team,

My name is Sagat Farhat, and I am writing to respectfully request your assistance regarding my scheduled Oracle exam that resulted in a “no show” due to a time zone inconsistency in the scheduling/check-in system.

Exam Details

  • Exam: 1Z0-830 (Java 21)
  • Scheduled time selected by me: 19:00 Astana time (Kazakhstan)
  • Exam date: (your exam date)

Reason for the Issue (Time Zone Mismatch)
When I scheduled the exam, I selected Astana from the city list and expected the platform to use the correct current time zone for Kazakhstan. On the exam day, at around 18:00 local time, I logged in early to prepare and complete check-in. However, I discovered warning messages (as shown in the attached photo/screenshot) indicating that the platform was treating Astana as UTC+6.

In reality, Astana currently uses UTC+5, which caused the check-in window and exam timing to appear shifted by one hour. My friend who scheduled an exam for the same time in Astana confirmed the same behavior in the system. Because of this mismatch, I would have needed to check in before 18:00 local time (even earlier than expected), and I nearly missed the exam despite actively preparing in advance.

This situation was entirely beyond my control and was caused by incorrect time zone handling for the selected city.

Request:

Given that this “no show” was the result of a platform time zone discrepancy (Astana shown as +6 instead of the correct +5), I kindly ask that you:

  • reinstate my exam attempt, and
  • allow me to reschedule the exam at the earliest available time without any additional charge.

The exam fee is significant for our country, and I made every effort to attend responsibly and on time. I would be very grateful for your understanding and prompt help so I can complete my certification.

Thank you for your time and support.
