Reports 6i: embedding fields in boilerplate text
821529Jun 20 2011 — edited Jun 25 2011I have boilerplate text containing embedded 'fields' that aren't defined in the Layout. The only explanation I can come up with is that you can embed items directly from a group-which isn't how I was trained, and this is the first time in 10 years I've run across this. All previous 'examples' have defined a layout item with Visible=N, then embedded that item into the boilerplate. If this report is also doing that then I can't see it. So, is my assumption true (that you can embed items directly from the group) or am I missing something?
Is there a way to search Reports 6i to find all the places where something is mentioned? Other than manually checking the properties of each item individually.
