According to the ~March 2012 "Statement of Direction for Oracle Application Development tools" (http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/issue-archive/2010/toolssod-3-129969.pdf):
"The last major changes to Oracle Reports were in the 10g release. Since then, there have been limited new features added to the product in Oracle Reports 11gR1 and 11gR2. Development efforts for Oracle Reports since 10g have been focused on stability and bug fixes. We are planning to release Oracle Reports 12c as part of Oracle Fusion Middleware 12c."

Companies have based their strategy upon this statement. We are planning to move off of Oracle Reports, but were under the impression we would have time to do so.
But, it appears that there is no Oracle Reports 12c in the latest FMW12c release.
Can someone from Oracle please explain why this is, and why the statement of direction has been wilfully ignored. If someone could point me towards something that explains Oracle's decision to not develop Reports 12c, I would be grateful.
