Apex 4.2.1

Has anything changed since the last time I 2302668 this question? I see that for cascading LOVs, APEX automatically shows the loading spinner image when re-loading dependent LOVs. Is there a way to get a similar effect when a report region is refreshed using the native Refresh dynamic action?
