Report printing - very tiny font size without any changes

2777697Oct 20 2014 — edited Oct 20 2014

Good afternood everyone,

I am very new to this topic and I am only the admin of the Weblogic&Report Server environment. So I am not in programming the reports or anything like that.

The here described issue already came up on one of our testing environments. After tons of search I gave up and reinstalled the whole machine including Weblogic and Report Server.

But now one of our two productive Report servers has the same issue and I am not willing to reinstall that whole machine. So I hope, anyone could help me.

Specs:

- Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise

- Reports Servers are not virtualized

- Weblogic Server 11g(10.3.6.0)

- Oracle Forms and Reports 11.1.2.0

Installation is all standard. Printjobs are coming from a Java application which also calls the correct report via URL. Everything was fine, up and running until today.

Nothing has changed! No new reports, no configuration changes, no change in the Java application. But suddenly, all printed reports are very tiny in font. The font type is still correct, only the size changed. There are always two destinations for every report. One is the hardware printer, the other one is a PDF, stored on a NFS. The PDF looks fine. And also, when I reprint the PDF manually, the printed paper is fine too.

There are always two entries in the printer queue when a report from the Java application was send. One with the name of the document and without file extension and one pysical stored .eps file from the oracle cache folder. As I said, I am very new to this topic :-).

Because of the same issue on the test environment several weeks ago, I already checked some things. I also tried to remove the whole weblogic and report services(including files) from the windows server and reinstalling it, without success.

So unfortunately, I have no more idea and hope that anyone can help me out.

Thanks a lot

Timo
