Replication of Synonyms

I have setup multi-master replication between two same version databases 8.1.7 on Windows NT. I have added the tables as repobjects at the master definition site and the replication is working fine. I am facing problems in adding synonyms as repobjects and generating replication support for them at the master definition site. How can I replicate synonyms for multi-master replication.
