Replicating to a read-only target with GoldenGate on 12c

Hello,

I have been trying to set up replication between two 12c databases with GoldenGate. The target will be read only.

Based on this article, it is under my impression that GoldenGate supports replicating to read only targets:

"The Oracle GoldenGate live reporting configuration supports a read-only target."

However, when I set the database on the target as read-only (with "ALTER DATABASE OPEN READ ONLY"). I keep getting this error on the target replicat, and the replicat abended.

ERROR OGG-00870 Oracle GoldenGate Delivery for Oracle, rinta.prm: Database error 16000 (ORA-16000: database or pluggable database open for read-only access ...

Can someone please clarify what "read only" really means in the article above? How should I configure the target to be read only if database read only is not what GoldenGate is expecting?
