Replacing a voting disk with another one when the voting disks are inside ASM

user13093213Aug 26 2015 — edited Aug 27 2015

Hi there,

I have the need to replace one of three voting disks of a diskgroup but that diskgroup is inside ASM.  So, I've got:

[root@server1 bin]# ./crsctl query css votedisk

##  STATE    File Universal Id                File Name Disk group

--  -----    -----------------                --------- ---------

1. ONLINE   903273f02d6sd6fdg4f2dbf18c57aa3164d73 (/dev/oracleasm/disks/OCR_VOTE1) [OCR_VOTE]

2. ONLINE   5c9a7f9f4cf74fdsd90sd9bfd03f5809e048cf (/dev/oracleasm/disks/OCR_VOTE3) [OCR_VOTE]

3. ONLINE   21c2e763b1b74f57bfd7sdb7adc38f52744d (/dev/oracleasm/disks/OCR_VOTE2) [OCR_VOTE]

So, we are running normal redundancy.  I have a new, empty, disk that's already listed inside of oracleasm (/dev/oracleasm/disks/OCR_VOTE4).  What do I do if I want to replace say OCR_VOTE2 with OCR_VOTE4?

Thanks for any pointers...Chris
