Replacement for Oracle DataGuard Broker

RudiNov 18 2010 — edited Nov 21 2010
Hi
We have the following setup :
Primary database is 10.2.0.4 on a 2-node RAC on RH Linux 4.6
Standby Database is also 10.2.0.4 on a 2-node RAC on RH Linux 4.
The Oracle DataGuard is configured as Max Availability.
The configuration is managed using Oracle 10g Data Guard Broker.
We recently started to get ORA-00600 errors, which seem to be related to the DMON process (which is the Data Guard process running on the database server).
We opened several SR's but so far Oracle Support has not been able to help us.
The broker plays a crucial role in this configuration and I don't want to give up using it,unless I have a product with a similar functionality or a I develop this functionality by myself, which is a big headache.
My question is what are my alternatives?
I would like to is someone has encountered a similar problem and what his/hers solution/workaround.
Also if you are aware of any 3rd party products which can replace the broker, please let me know.
Thanks,
Rudi
