Replace Linefeed and Carriage return characters

Hi,

In user_snapshots table,I've to remove linefeed and carriage characters from the query column..

How can I remove linefeed and Carriage characters from a column?

I tried below but in vain..

select replace(query,chr(10),'') from user_snapshots

Its giving formatting error..

Pls Tell me how to accomplish this?
