Renaming Table. Question on associated Index.

Here's my scenario....

I have -

Table A with Index IDXA

Table B with Index IDXB

I need to -

1. Drop table A (Index IDXA still exists).

2. Rename Table B to A.

3. Drop and Create Table B. Create Index IDXB.

Question-

Is it advisable to drop and create IDXA as well or how does it work with IDXA actually referring to the old Table A?

Any replies and insight would be much appreciated.
