Rename redo log file to network location or network drive possible?

Hello,

I tried to rename redo log file in Oracle 10 but it only works on local server. I want to move the redolog files to another network drive,
but Oracle all the time give me error ORA-01511, ORA-01512, ORA-27041, OSD-04002 and O/S-ERROR (OS 5).
