Removing Show all from Region Display Selector

Hello all,

I am using Apex 4.0.1 and I was trying to make a search region where the input parameters would change given a selection from a select item. When I discovered "Region Display Selector" region type I thought it would even look better, but the Show All kind of ruins my intention.

I have tried to use a dynamic action on load so that I could hide the item, but I was only able to hide the the whole region, using a jquery selector since the specific buttons dont have an id only the whole region does.

Can anyone help me find a way to achieve what I am trying to do? Or is it better to use conditional processing to hide one of the regions?
