Remove punctuation

Hi Guys,

I've having a problem of detecting parameter with punctuation e.g. "parameter1!". The parameter comes with a punctuation mark.

I'm thinking of a way to detect the punctuation, which might occurs before the parameter or after the parameter. After that, I will eliminate the any punctuation attached to the parameter.

I'll happy with any suggestion and comments. You don't have to list out the whole code. I just need some pointers or guidance on how to get this thing up.
