Remote queries using Perl

Hi,

I'm new to this forum, so apologies if this is not the right place to post.

I have a Perl script which needs to perform some simple queries on a remote ORACLE 10g DB. The script must run on a Linux machine.

Could you please tell which ORACLE components I need to install on the Linux machine? Would SQL*Net be enough?
