branislav.dobrotkaFeb 25 2008 — edited Feb 25 2008
Hi all

I have problem with connection using remote listener :
I have :
server A (HP -UX) with database DWHREP
server B (SUN solaris)

I configure remote listener in server B and REMOTE_LISTENER in database DWHDREP on server A. On server B : lsnrctl status listener (service was from PMON of DWHDREP registered):

Listening Endpoints Summary...
(DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=tcp)(HOST=10.25.1.234)(PORT=1522)))
Services Summary...
Service "DWHDREP" has 1 instance(s).
Instance "DWHDREP", status READY, has 1 handler(s) for this service...
Service "DWHDREPXDB" has 1 instance(s).
Instance "DWHDREP", status READY, has 1 handler(s) for this service...
The command completed successfully

but when I tried to connect :
ORA-12545: Connect failed because target host or object does not exist

Please where can it by problems? ping from IP server B to server A is OK

Thank You Brano
