Remote host closed connection during handshake

843811Sep 20 2006
Pls note that the host name value and the ip value I've removed it for security purposes :D

The log showed the 1st error as:
the error was "java.security.AccessControlException: access denied (java.net.SocketPermission laptopname resolve)"

So I modified my laptop java.policy file to include the site laptopname

When I launched it again, the log showed the 2nd error:-
yesterday the error was "java.security.AccessControlException: access denied (java.net.SocketPermission <IP1>:443 connect, resolve)"
today the error was "java.security.AccessControlException: access denied (java.net.SocketPermission <IP2> :443 connect,resolve)"

So I modified java.policy file to include that as well.

Now, I launched it again and am getting this error :-

Hope you can advise me what is wrong.
I noticed some of our users had access the site before and was able to access it with success. I wonder only now why its failing.

The web pages are using applets, could it be the signed applet may be signed using an old Digital Certificate ?
Or is there other causes to this problem ?

.tq
