Remote directory access with Oracle

Hi Forum-Community,

question about remote directory access with Oracle.
I want to have read, write grants/access to a remote Windows directory with Oracle.
My server is Windows 2003 and hosts Oracle 10g.
I issue a "create directory" statement. This will be fine.
But the transfer itself raise a failure.
Does anybody have experience with this problem or perhaps some ideas.
