Relocation in generic ELF

Hi,

I am recomping a pro*C file(ci_srvr_db.pc) and I get the following error during linking

ci_srvr_db.o: Relocation in generic ELF(EM:8)
Could not read symbols:File in wrong format

This *.pc file was originally used with oracle 7.3. I am now using oracle 11gR1 on SuSe Linux 64 bit machine.
