Release resources manually that are in use by a unitofwork

Hi all, Is there a way I can close all cursors that toplink unitofwork is holding currently? I am using Spring ToplinkTransactionManager, in tomcat & on exception, toplink is not releasing the open cursors by the unitofwork. Please let me know if there's a way I can close/release all the resources that current unitofwork holds.
